Cellulite is basically fat cells pushing outward from your body. The indentations are caused by connective fibers holding the fat cells down. More women than men are more prone to this since physiologically, they store more fat in their thighs, hips, and buttocks. We’ve all seen the products and services featured in media that claim to eliminate cellulite, but do they really?

Doctors have clarified that there is no tried and tested way to get rid of cellulite completely. However, it still doesn’t hurt to try treatments that could, at the very least, minimize the appearance of those unsightly cellulite dimples. With so many products promising fantastic and amazing results, however, consumers would best be careful about what they patronize, lest they end up burning more cash than actual cellulites.

Get into the gym

Speaking of lessening its appearance, fitness experts recommend getting regular massages, taking showers, and engaging in cardiovascular activity to improve circulation. Strength training will firm up flabby areas — for the lower body, step-ups, lunges, and squats are particularly effective.

A body to diet for

Since the root of the cellulite problem is body fat, losing it would greatly improve your appearance.  Avoid foods rich in sugar, starch, and alcohol. Go for lean proteins and vegetables. These tips may not help you totally conquer bulges, but you’ll still emerge victorious with your overall health and fitness.
